Dr. Ebonee Mayo-Mitchell

Dr. Mayo-Mitchell is a dedicated HBCU enthusiast and a passionate advocate for empowering students in their college choices. With a deep understanding of college choice theories and their practical applications, she strives to bridge the gap between theory and everyday decision-making. Ebonee has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Johnson C. Smith University, a Masters of Arts in Mass Communication Media Studies and Masters in Education in Education Administration and Policy from Howard University, as well as a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Morgan State University; focusing her dissertation on the college choice of traditional age students. Her primary goal is to enhance enrollment numbers by guiding students and parents in making informed decisions about their educational institutions.

Ebonee’s insights have earned her invitations as a featured panelist at esteemed events like the National Black Caucus, Urban League, Black College Expo, Alfred Street HBCU Fair, IECA, and more. She shares her expertise in cities nationwide, connecting with audiences and fostering meaningful discussions.
